Estimation of corrosion conditions of a phosphoric acid fuel cell

摘要: The changes in the anode and cathode potentials horizontal plane of a phosphoric acid fuel cell (PAFC), under various conditions reactant gas pressure its utilization, were studied using single with twelve reference electrodes located around cathode. Pressure-utilization (P-U) potential maps obtained from data at partial pressures (PO2, PH2) their utilization (UO2, UH2). These show corrosion clearly. A PO2-UO2 map maximum showed that is corroded high oxygen low utilization. Cathode can occur over entire surface. PH2-UH2 hydrogen any pressure. However, this case, materials corrodes outlet; does not climb to values inlet area. Fuel flowing series resulted lower possibility for than parallel flow.
