For convenience, life cycle divided into three phases: prefield phase, aftermath. As described here, phase involves conceiving idea, developing scientific objectives, naming program, obtaining support, arranging logistics. The discussion highlights decision making process, balancing numerical models, human interactions. are merged, analyzed, synthesized knowledge mainly after effort.
