摘要: Oceans regulate our climate, provide us with natural resources such as food, materials, substances, and energy are essential for international trade, recreational, cultural activities. Free access to availability of ocean services, together human development, have put strong pressures on marine ecosystems, ranging from overfishing reckless resource extraction various channels careless pollution. International cooperation negotiations required protect the environment use in a way that needs future generations will be met. For purpose, developing agreeing Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Coasts could an element sustainable management. The SDGs build upon Millennium Goals (MDG) replace them by 2015. Even though ensuring environmental sustainability is one eight MDG goals, not explicitly included. Furthermore, creation comprehensive underlying set oceanic indicators would help assessing current status systems, diagnose on-going trends, information forward-locking governance.
