摘要: The interlaminar and intralaminar shear properties, such as modulus strength, are important for the design of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite materials. Short beam strength is often used a screening tool whereas V-Notched methods considered valid measurements. advent optical strain measurement techniques digital image correlation (DIC), provide new opportunities to generate high resolution maps field function globally applied strain. In this work, we show that non-contact measurements an enhancement measuring properties FRP composites. rail method measure two different composites vary in reinforcement type (glass or carbon), matrix (epoxy chemistry) angle principle axis loading axis. DIC was V-Notchrail- samples during track local strains evaluate across gauge length near notch root these specimens. results compared analytical predictions derived from tensile epoxy reinforcing fiber.
