摘要: Summary.  The paper focuses on the hospital and community health service component of current formula for target allocation annual ‘weighted capitation’ funding England's 304 primary care trusts—a that responds to political pressure tackle continuing inequalities. history allocation formulae National Health Service is briefly reviewed, before exposing composition provenance component. Under heading ‘Logical statistical deficiencies’ we consider various frameworks, model misspecification, allowance age, ins outs supply, unmet need wrong signs, replicability robustness—questions are relevant trust in based regression age-standardized utilization a multiplicity socioeconomic variables. We conclude it might be better put future resources into developing direct, rather than proxy, measurement needs.
