摘要: Abstract The eigenvalues, transition energy, the linear and nonlinear dielectric functions have been numerically investigated for CdS/ZnS spherical core/shell quantum dots embedded in various matrices. evaluation was carried out three commonly used matrices, such as PVA, PMMA SiO2. Calculations were done under effective mass approximation compact density matrix approach. Results revealed that optical property is strongly affected by nature of material. By increasing radii ratio energy states well are decreasing. It also indicated presence mismatch QD-matrix system can cause significant enhancement on third order function.
