摘要: Carbonic anhydrases (CAs) are metalloenzymes that omnipresent in nature. CAs catalyze the basic reaction of reversible hydration CO2 to HCO3− and H+ all living organisms. Photosynthetic organisms contain six evolutionarily different classes CAs, which namely: α-CAs, β-CAs, γ-CAs, δ-CAs, ζ-CAs, θ-CAs. Many photosynthetic multiple isoforms each CA family. The model alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii contains 15 belonging three gene families. Of these belong α-CA family; nine β-CA γ-CA copies family may be due duplications within particular localized subcellular compartments this unicellular alga. presence a large number their diverse localization single cell suggests importance enzymes metabolic biochemical roles they perform In present review, we update information on molecular biology reinhardtii. We also hypothetical showing known functions predicting for precise yet discovered.
