摘要: This work introduces new morphological and molecular information on the filaroid nematode Setaria cervi (Rudolphi, 1819) obtained from 13 infected game ungulates out of 96 dissected. The hosts comprised following: a single moose (Alces alces), ten red deer (Cervus elaphus) two sika nippon) originating western northern regions Czech Republic. Based complete sequences gene encoding mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit 1 (cox1), all 20 females four males belonged to species S. cervi. We detected three developmental female stages (adult fertile females, juvenile L5 L4 larvae) differing in size some traits as subtle structure peribuccal crown shape features tail knob. Such differences were described detail for first time. phylogenetic relationships within family Onchocercidae have been evaluated using cox1 sequence (maximum likelihood method, GTR + I G model). In accordance with latest studies, present analysis confirmed ancient separation subclass Setariinae remaining onchocercid lineages Dirofilariinae Onchocerinae.
