摘要: Glass ionomer cement systems have become important dental restorative and luting materials for use in preschoolers, children teenagers. These form chemical bonds to tooth structure, are biocompatible, release fluoride ions uptake by enamel dentin, able take up from dentifrices, mouthwashes, topically applied solutions. Unlike early glass ionomers, the new easy practical use. Resin-modified cements not only improved physical characteristics, but photopolymerizable resin component reduces initial hardening time substantially. This article reviews development history of polyalkenoate their ongoing role dentistry children.(Pediatr Dent. 2002;24:423-429)
