摘要: It may seem strange that, after four decades of existence the Regional Science Association, concept region is still a subject discussion. Many things have changed however, some them radically, since first Isardian definitions. Whereas it seems increasingly unsatisfactory to make merely generic use term ‘region’, synonymous with territory, nevertheless appears impossible single out precise geographic entity that can be rigorously defined as such. In context socio-economic relations reached global scale, and now local entities (and their relation space) are considered simply ‘nodes’ network, even being questioned whether has any strategic significance at all.
