VOOH nanosheets with enhanced capacitance as supercapacitor electrode

摘要: Abstract Vanadyl hydroxide (VOOH) nanosheets have been synthesized for the first time using commercial vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) as source by a facile one-step hydrothermal reaction. The morphology and crystal structure of VOOH can be controlled simply adjusting ratio ethylene glycol (EG) to deionized water (H2O) in electrochemical performance electrode material supercapacitors was investigated 1 mol L−1 LiClO4/propylene carbonate, it found that highest specific capacitance is 323 F g−1 at current density 0.2 A g−1 due their higher surface area activity, which 3 times large than nanoparticles reported hollow spheres. Meanwhile, also show good cycling stability with retention 70% after 2000 cycles 2 A g−1. This work demonstrates nanosheets, new member two-dimensional materials family, not only method, but an excellent supercapacitor applications.
