摘要: An analysis of the organic constituents whole, domestic sewage was made by analysing four physically separated fractions. Settlement, centrifuging and filtration were used to obtain one liquid three solid Concentration filtrate achieved freeze-drying with only minor changes in composition. The average concentration carbon fresh, whole 310 p.p.m., which about 70 per cent suspension. Eight classes compounds found, on analysis, comprise 75 soluble 80 distributed between five groups. Using chromatographic methods concentrations volatile acids determined presence other detected. Similarly, seven sugars eight present hydrolysed suspended solids have been identified. probable nature some unaccounted for is discussed.
