摘要: Permafrost influences the hydrologic response of a catchment. In this study, we test ability recession flow analysis to reflect thawing permafrost at catchment scale for well-studied Yukon river basin (YRB), covering large portions Alaska, USA and parts Canada. The changes in properties detected YRB agree well with observations across central Alaska. addition, there is good agreement between relative increases intercept (a proxy effective depth permafrost) annual groundwater (independently assessed as effect) catchments that have exhibited such increases. This study demonstrates utility catchment-scale variety conditions. strength method it requires only daily streamflow on much larger measurement support scales than local direct observations.
