摘要: For the past couple of decades, transportation sector has made efforts to preserve and improve air quality for public health sustainable growth between current future generations. An easily understandable tool measure level pollution in by considering multiple pollutants together might raise awareness about clean public, practitioners, state policy planners, government. this reason, study develops an aggregate index help prepare decision makers, which could rank a according different levels pollutants. The is developed use with principal com-ponent analysis algebra line segment, then applied US using data on five (CO, NOx, PM, SO2, VOCs) 2008. This finds that some states were less polluted or more terms index, although their GDP transport mode similar each other. Thus, finding implies necessary actions stricter standards must be taken boundaries.
