Drug Interaction in Psycho-Oncology: A Retrospective Glance over the Polymedication and Comorbidities in a Portuguese Psycho-Oncology Service

摘要: Introduction: The evaluation and prescription of psychotropic drugs in oncologic setting is particular importance because cancer patients susceptibility to drug interactions. Objectives: Describe the frequency type comorbidities standard pharmaceuticals a sample patients. Secondarily, reflect on clinical pharmacological interactions this context, particularly drugs. Material/methods: Descriptive study referred for first time Psycho-Oncology Unit IPOCFG, between October December 2011. A retrospective collection socio-demographic variables was made by consulting processes. Results: From 60 included analysis, 48,3% were antineoplasic medication, 46,7% had prior psychiatric history 70% drugs; 75% presented other comorbidities. Only 8,3% free medication and, from those under it, 63,6% consumed three or more distinct classes. Conclusions: There high co-morbidities co-prescription several classes which pose at risk It important that physicians are able predict these phenomena prevent loss efficiency minimize adverse effects, antineoplastic.
