摘要: G-quadruplexes are non-canonical secondary structures formed within nucleic acids that involved in modulating cellular processes such as replication, gene regulation, recombination and epigenetics. Within genes, there is mounting evidence of G-quadruplex involvement transcriptional post regulation. We report the presence potential motifs relevant sites some important pharmacogenes discuss possible implications this on function expression these genes. Appreciating location functions may be value when considering impacts pharmacogenetic variants. also focus drug development efforts oncology we highlight broader pharmacological treatment strategies target G-quadruplexes.
