摘要: Introduction: Given the involvement of histone deacetylases (HDACs) in regulation gene expression, they are believed to be ‘master regulators' many diseases. Thus, HDAC inhibitors (HDACis) able modulate transcriptional activity. These molecules can induce cell cycle arrest, differentiation and apoptosis tumor cells culture animal models therefore emerging as an exciting new class potential anti-cancer agents for treatment solid hematological malignancies. Areas covered: The aim this review is provide overview current knowledge molecular mechanisms HDACis, most recent patents existing field HDACis from 2009 until 2011.
