摘要: The present study deals with the use of low-cost plant-derived materials, namely a biochar, spent coffee grounds, tea leaves, and compost humic acid, for adsorptive removal from water two estrogens, 4-tert-octylphenol (OP) 17-β-estradiol (E2), pesticides, carbaryl fenuron, each spiked at concentration 1 mg L-1. Kinetics adsorption isotherms have been performed using batch equilibrium method to measure sorption capacities adsorbents towards four molecules. Adsorption constants were calculated linear, Freundlich, Langmuir models. data obtained evidenced rapid compound onto both biochar grounds attainment steady-state in less than 4 h. Significant differences among compounds found regarding model extent adsorption. In general, estrogens adsorbed more quickly greater amounts hydrophobic following order: OP > E2 fenuron. ranges Freundlich OP, E2, carbaryl, fenuron sorbents 5049-2253, 3385-206, 2491-79, 822-24 L kg-1, respectively. maximum values except that was by grounds. kinetic followed pseudo-second-order model, thus indicating occurrence chemical interactions between substrates. remarkable all molecules suggest valuable exploitation these materials decontamination purposes, such as treatment wastewater before feasible recycle soil.
