摘要: Apple production sector in Albania is growing very fast but research about apple efficiency almost absent. This aims at assessing the technical and factors affecting it for Albanian farms. Data of 150 randomly selected farmers area Korca region are analyzed with Stochastic Frontier Approach. The average level results 88%, 12% potential improvement. gap 21%. Major positive effect on result access to advisory services, plots size, number plots; education proportion orchards under modern technology have negative effects; age, farmer’s experience not significant. Measures support planting apples should take into account size plots. There much space improve extension services farmers, so adequate policies needed training, information their skills knowledge, ensure they supplied quality inputs technologies reasonable prices, markets.
