摘要: Electrochromic windows are reversible electrochemical devices. For architectural windows, typical electrochromic device structures comprise of several layers coatings, where oxidation and reduction electrode coatings result in actively controllable optical properties by application electrical potential. These reduce the energy cost a building envelope dynamically changing solar transmission through which used to optimize both lighting costs thermal gains with outdoor conditions. Commercial now becoming available; however, obtain broader market acceptance cost/benefit ratio these must be improved. The being introduced into marketplace do not use sol-gel technology their manufacturing process. Judicious can assist obtaining more favorable ratio. Sol-gel processes offer opportunity making attractive, given unique aspects this application, include multiple metal oxide compositions, significant thickness, microstructural requirements, incorporation mobile ions ability effectively low-cost transparent conductors.
