摘要: The dimerization of anthracene by a [4π + 4π] cycloaddition is one the oldest and best known reactions in photochemistry. In series tethered bichromophoric arenes, this reaction type could be extended to anthracene–naphthalene, naphthalene–naphthalene recently even anthracene–benzene naphthalene–benzene systems. Cyclophanes, which can regarded as twofold or multiple systems, are not discussed here. cycloisomerizations performed irradiation at long-wavelength absorption (λ > 270 nm), whereas shorter wavelengths < nm) lead cycloreversions, also achieved thermal route. systems represent therefore P- T-type photochromism, used for optical chiroptical switches. An acceleration switch possible singlet energy transfer (light harvesting antenna effect) dendritic compounds. past 5 10 years many applications these switches were studied context photonic devices, sensor techniques, lithographic processes, imaging data processing storage.
