摘要: Marine reserves are a promising tool for recovering overfished ecosystems. However, designed to rebuild profits in the long-term may cause short-term losses-a serious issue regions where fisheries key food security. We examine tension between benefits of and losses, using multispecies model coral reef fisheries. Protecting sequentially, starting with most valued species, provided best outcome rapid recovery profits.
