摘要: Salmonella typhimurium invades the spleen, liver, and peripheral lymph nodes has recently been detected in bone marrow thymus, resulting a reduced thymic size decline total number of cells. A specific deletion double-positive cell subset characterized, yet export mature T cells to periphery remains normal. We analyzed pathogenesis regarding structure T-cell maturation process. demonstrate that, despite alterations structure, development is maintained during infection, allowing selection single-positive clones expressing particular receptor beta chains (TCR-Vβ). Moreover, treatment infected mice with an antibiotic restored normal architecture thymocyte distribution. Additionally, frequency TCR-Vβ usage after was comparable that non-infected mice. However, bacteria were still recovered from thymus 1 month treatment. Our data reveal skewed developmental process present Salmonella-infected alters frequency. Likewise, post-treatment persistence reveals novel function as potential reservoir for this infectious agent.
