Reflectarray Element Based on Aperture-Coupled Patches With Slots and Lines of Variable Length

摘要: A phase-shifter element for printed reflectarrays with more than 4 cycles of phase delay is presented in this work. The proposed reflectarray allows very linear curves and based on the combination two previously studied demonstrated concepts: variable length slots a ground plane patches coupled through slot to lines. In former, act as inductive loading depending their length. With second concept, effect nonconstant path alleviated by introduction true-time (TTD) mixed much larger range be reached at same time improve linearity behavior. Two ways increasing are shown: increase using U-shaped lines use high permittivity substrates
