摘要: To determine the incidence, prevalence, and outcome of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in a well delineated black population Caribbean basin data were collected on disease course all patients with definite SLE seen during 10 year period (1980-9) using three different sources information (hospital records, private practice death certificates). Ninety four identified giving an average annual incidence rate 4.6/100,000 (95% confidence interval (CI) 0.4 to 8.8), which showed little variation study period. Twenty five (27%) died period, point prevalence 47/100,000 (CI 34.1 51.1) 1990. In women aged 15-44 years (12/100,000; CI 5.3 18.9) was highest, whereas 44-65 1990 (one 526; 469 625) highest. Annual mortality 1.7/100,000 -0.8 4.2) female male ratio 5.3. Renal most common complication, occurring 73 (78%) patients. Thus transatlantic movement from area (presumably) low (Central Africa) has been accompanied by increase Curacao, indicating that environmental factors may prevail over genetic expression this disease.
