On the credibility perception of news on Twitter

摘要: Searching for specific topics on Twitter, readers have to judge the credibility of tweets. In this paper, we examine relationship between reader demographics, news attributes and tweet features with reader's perception, further correlation among these factors. We found that educational background geo-location significant their furthermore in tweets are also significantly correlated perception. Despite differences find including search topic keyword writing style most helpful perceiving credibility. While previous studies reported use features, our results showed combination make decisions regarding Comparing level predicted by an automatic prediction tool tend be more trusting, possibly due limited explicit author information available Twitter.
