摘要: Abstract: Barenthoren’s Dauerwald and its actuality. The (= continuous forest) proposed by Alfred Moller in 1920, which has been central the debate on forests Central Europe for quite some time, was examined after a recent excursion to Scots pine of Barenthoren (Saxen-Anhalt, North-East Germany), where Friedrich von Kalitsch developed this type management over century ago. described at Moller’s times have changed considerably since then, even if original policies are still applied, with appropriate adaptation. Interest more general principles increased decades. current relevance cover, diversity species (biodiversity) production high-quality wood discussed, view environmental changes, new needs society, economic uncertainties. In open importance silvicultural approaches closer natural processes, history offers different perspectives various aspects forest sustainable use ecosystem resources, but also working study hypotheses conditions from those central-Europe.
