摘要: Glucuronic acids in Arabidopsis thaliana xylans exist 4-O-methylated (MeGlcA) and non-methylated (GlcA) forms at a ratio of about 3:2. The matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry analysis the endoxylanase liberated acidic oligosaccharides from inflorescence stem showed that two peaks with GlcA (GlcA-Xyl4Ac1 GlcA-Xyl5Ac2) had abnormally high intensities, as well different tandem spectra, than their counterparts. These were interestingly enriched xylan biosynthesis mutant irx7 irx9-1. Multi-stages fragmentation using negative ion electrospray-ion trap indicated this was further carrying pentose residue glucuronoxylan-derived oligosaccharide structure also identified wild type. results prove evidence new substitution on GX, which is likely present primary walls.
