摘要: Talent identification programs usually monitor several parameters, once of which is kinanthropometry. There are a variety anthropometric techniques that used in talent identification. With respect to youth sport performance, the focus this chapter was upon use assist with and performance within adolescent (from 8–18 years for girls 10–22 boys) phase growth as competitive not regular occurrence children <8 old. Using evidence from studies, information has been provided about how sports have kinanthropometry purposes taking into consideration physical maturation, absolute size proportionality, somatotyping body composition. The covered include individual (cycling, figure skating, gymnastics, rock climbing, track field), field (cricket, hockey, soccer), contact team (American football, Australian rules rugby), court (badminton, basketball, handball, netball, tennis, volleyball), weight classified (judo, taekwondo, sumo wrestling, weightlifting) water (rowing, sprint kayaking, swimming). Athletes characterised by combination composition/body traits believed influence chance success any given therefore it suggested measurement crucial tool search coaches athletes quest at highest level sport.
