摘要: Abstract Wheat germ agglutinin (WGA) isolated from hexaploid wheat is made up of six isolectin dimeric forms. In order to determine if the previously observed biological activity WGA against cowpea weevil was due preferentially particular isolectins, we each three homodimers and bioassayed them in an artificial seed bioassay. We show that isolectins equally detrimental growth development weevil. Hence, any genes for could, principle, be transferred into confer bruchid resistance.
