In vitro digestion kinetics of neutral detergent fiber extracted from Tifton 85 and Coastal bermudagrasses

摘要: Hays used to compare the digestion kinetics of neutral detergent fiber (NDF) were Tifton 85 bermudagrass (T85) harvested after 3.5 or 7 weeks growth, a second cutting T85 regrowth, and Coastal (CBG) 4 growth. Neutral extracted from hays was exposed in vitro digesta analyzed for their NDF content. The dry matter disappearance first (63.6%) (59.9%) 3.5-weeks old similar but higher than that growth (48.7%) CBG (52.0%). In at 72 h incubation week (74.5%) regrowth (67.4%), (63.7%) 7-weeks (53.7%). After fitting nonlinear model data, had (P<0.05) potentially digestible fraction NDF. Extraction increased summary, concentration, did week.
