摘要: To elucidate the nature of bacterial assimilatory nitrate reductase, we attempted to use bacteria which contain but not dissimilatory reductase. Four strains (M-1, M-2, M-3 and J-1), isolated in this study, Nocardia globerula IFO 13509 had such characteristics; they grew a medium containing as sole nitrogen source did accumulate nitrite, ammonia or molecular during growth synthetic complex media with without aeration. Strains M-1, M-2 are Bacillus spp., either identical closely resemble B. megaterium, strain J-1 is Pseudomonas sp. resembles P. hydrogenovora. Resting cells these assimilated presence glucose pyruvate accumulation nitrite. Assimilatory reductase cell-free extracts from reduced if NADPH NADH was added an electron donor. Both served donor for enzymes M-1 while only effective M-3, N. globerula. All were predominantly localized soluble cytoplasmic fraction. Effects inhibitors, KClO3, NaN3, NH2OH p-chloromercuri benzoate, variable when one inhibitors tested different strains, inhibition similar on enzyme same (M-1 M-2) NADH. The inhibited by 1mM inhibited; other inhibited.
