摘要: Distraction osteogenesis is a recently developed option for surgical correction of the craniofacial discrepancy but there are few studies that look at long-term effect relapse phenomenon. This study was conducted to bone and muscle response different consolidation remodelling periods. Thirty ten-week-old Merino lambs were subjected this current study. The surgically created defect performed on experimental side (right) by superficial masseter myectomy condylectomy. showed midline shift affected three months later. Marker screws placed both sides mandible examine adjustment vertical horizontal dimension mandible. In present study, left used as control. The corrected using ramus distraction protocol. latency period 7 days where device inactive. then 1 mm per day until distracted gap 10 radiograph. Initially, sheep divided into 8 groups later refined 6 statistical analysis; Group 1: Immediately post 2: Consolidation 2 month 3: 3 4: 5: 6: 4 months A ‘hemifacial microsomia like’ successfully it distraction.
