摘要: Based on data held as part of the National Homicide Monitoring Program at Australian Institute Criminology, this paper examines different circumstances and characteristics family homicide in Australia over period July 1989 to June 2002. The includes details about murder intimate partners, children, parents, siblings other members, discusses gender distribution victims offenders, weapons used, motives for murders. finds that Australia, almost two five homicides occur between with an average 129 each year. majority partners (60 per cent), three-quarters partner involve males killing their female partners. On average, 25 children are killed year by a parent, under age one highest risk victimisation. less common types include parents (12 incidents year), (six members (11 year). also draws out policy implications differences various homicide, highlights need specific prevention strategies target these homicides.
