摘要: Microglial cells comprise a network of endogenous immunocompetent that pervade the brain and spinal cord. The primary function this system is to provide continuous surveillance parenchyma protect central nervous (CNS) during injury disease. Here we discuss involvement microglia aging aging-related neurodegenerative disease, i.e. Alzheimer's briefly summarize their possible roles in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). In addition, an overview neuroinflammation associated with tumors how microglial tumor cytotoxicity could be targeted for immunotherapeutic approaches designed treat these lesions.
