The metabolism of gibberellins A9, A20 and A29 in immature seeds of Pisum sativum cv. Progress No. 9

摘要: Gibberellin A9, GA20 and GA29, all known to be endogenous immature seeds of Pisum sativum cv. Progress No. 9, were fed in tritiated form this cultivar cultured vitro. [3H]GA9 was metabolised [3H]GA20, 2β-OH-[3H]GA9, H2-[3H]GA31 a conjugate. The percentage conversion each metabolite varied from feed but instance [3H]GA20 was, at most, minor product, suggesting that vivo GA9 may not the principal precursor GA20. converted very high yield [3H]GA29 under conditions which suggest strongly is normal metabolic sequence developing cultivar. In addition, conjugates [3H] GA29 formed low yield. It presumed latter [3H]GA29. All metabolites, instance, identified by combined gas chromatography-radiocounting chromatography-mass spectrometry, criteria for unequivocal identification radioactive products feeds plant tissues are put forward.
