摘要: The present study was carried out to evaluate the role of oxidative stress in pathophysiologic process acute renal failure associated with exertional rhabdomyolysis (ER) Egyptian horses. ER tentatively diagnosed 31 Baladi horses based on case history, physical examination findings and confirmed by elevation plasma creatine kinase (CK) urine myoglobin concentrations. According severity condition, diseased were categorized into two main groups; first group included 18 minimal clinical signs CK 100 000 IU/L). It found that creatol (CTL) positively correlated (p < 0.01) malondialdehyde (MDA) (r = 0.775), nitric oxide (NO) 0.768), methyguanididne (MG) 0.995), glucose 0.778), protein 0.767), index (RFI) 0.814) sodium 0.799) negatively total antioxidant capacity (TAC) −0.795), superoxide dismutase (SOD) −0.815), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) −0.675), Vitamin C −0.830), creatinine −0.800), urine/plasma ratio −0.827) urea −0.807). correlation between these biochemical variables might suggest a possible injury severe is suggested exaggeration increased muscle membrane leakage plays key kidney rhabdomyolysis.
