摘要: Aim The aim of this study was to analyze the role ultrasonography in prenatal diagnosis women with confirmed rubella infection pregnancy. Methods We performed a retrospective, population-based on 175 referred our Centre Infectious Disease Pregnancy AOU Federico II for infection, period between January 1999 and December 2009. In cases we periodic ultrasonographic assessment fetal anatomy looking findings rubeovirus infection. Neonatal outcomes were collected. Results Among women, 48 (27.4%) cases, 83 (47.4%) remain suspected. remaining 44 (25.1%) excluded having No defined probable found. children born mother 9 (18.7%) resulted infected by virus. particular 6 newborns (66% affected) asymptomatic, two babies showed incomplete congenital syndrome (CRS), due presence deafness absence other abnormalities without showing any USG findings. Only one baby complete CRS: IUGR, polydramnios, cardiomegaly, defects atrial septum, hepatosplenomegaly, ascites, echogenic bowel, placentomegaly. specificity sensitivity 100% 11% respectively. Conclusion has an important detection intrauterine case severe abnormalities. obstetricians should understand limitations ultrasound minor
