摘要: Observations of the Sun at millimeter and submillimeter wavelengths offer a unique probe into structure, dynamics, heating chromosphere; structure sunspots; formation eruption prominences filaments; energetic phenomena such as jets flares. High-resolution observations are challenging due to intense, extended, low-contrast, dynamic nature emission from quiet Sun, extremely intense variable emissions associated with phenomena. The Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) was designed solar in mind. requirements for significantly different sidereal sources special measures necessary successfully carry out this type observations. We describe commissioning efforts that enable use two frequency bands, 3-mm band (Band 3) 1.25-mm (Band 6), continuum interferometric-imaging ALMA. Examples high-resolution synthesized images obtained using newly commissioned modes during solar-commissioning campaign held December 2015 presented. Although only 30 eventual 66 ALMA antennas were used campaign, data reveal new features atmosphere demonstrate potential power ongoing expansion will continue observing capabilities.
