摘要: This work evaluates the (cor-)relations between selected biochemical responses to toxic Cd and degree of sensitivity in a set pea genotypes. Ten genotypes were analysed that differ their growth response when expressed as root or shoot tolerance indices (TIs). Concentrations non-protein thiols (NPTs) malondialdehyde (MDA), activity chitinase, peroxidase (POX), catalase significantly increased all treated with Cd. Cd-sensitivity was correlated relative increases MDA concentration well activities chitinase POX, suggesting similar stress effects. Activities ascorbate (APX) decreased, but concentrations glutathione (GSH) less Cd-sensitive Differences leaf contents revealed no correlation TI, metabolic parameters, enzyme Cd-treated plants, respectively, except positively activity. Toxic levels inhibited uptake nutrient elements such P, K, S, Ca, Zn, Mn, B by plants an organ- genotype-specific manner. decreased Zn concentrations. The results show both similarities, distinct features, toxicity expression one species, independent multi-factorial reactions modulate on low-tolerance level plants. study illustrates basis earlier detected genotypic variation response.
