摘要: Indoor animal husbandry environments are inevitably contaminated with endotoxins. Endotoxin exposure is associated various inflammatory illnesses in animals. This cross-sectional study evaluated the relationship between degree of endotoxin and cellular humoral immune profiles fattening pigs. Blood samples were taken from jugular vein 47 pigs ten pig farms Korea. Whole blood cell counts plasma immunoglobulin (Ig) classes determined. Peripheral-blood mononuclear cells stimulated vitro concanavalin A for 48 h, cytokines released into culture supernatants measured. The barns which lived assessed levels total respirable dust by using limulus amebocyte lysate kinetic QCL method. Low high exposures defined as ≤ 30 > EU/m³, respectively. Compared to low (n = 19), highly exposed 28) had higher circulating neutrophil lymphocyte (particularly B cells) counts, IgG IgE levels, interferon-gamma (IFNγ) interleukin (IL)-4 productions, lower IgA tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNFα) production. IL-4, IFNγ, TNFα significantly correlated level and/or age. Constant airborne endotoxins can lead aberrant profiles.
