摘要: Abstract The present study is concerned with methods of nonlinear static and dynamic analysis structures, particularly for application to geometrically space frames. displacement formulation the finite element method adopted. Large displacements are accounted by using a material (Lagrangian) description motion from fixed reference frame, assuming small strains moderately large rotations. Curved beam elements considered introduction initial deflections in stiffness relations. Higher order axial interpolation polynomials included obtain an appropriate coupling between forces bending frame members. Efficient instability postbuckling problems have been main point behaviour. This also includes evaluation numerical solution methods, some which being applicable analysis. efficiency these discussed connection response analyses presented. For integration incremental equations motion, based on transformation generalized coordinates modal basis proposed studied as alternative direct integration. Numerical examples presented both analyses, it has important show applicability practical structural problems. advantages post-processing extensive use computer graphics presenting results structure demonstrated.
