摘要: Purpose To compare levels of bradykinin (BK), leukotriene B4 (LTB4), prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), and substance P (SP) between successful unsuccessful cases arthrocentesis temporomandibular joint disorders (TMDs). Patients Methods A total 66 joints in patients with TMDs who underwent were evaluated this study. Synovial fluid diluted saline solution was aspirated from the superior compartment before their concentrations BK, LTB4, PGE2, SP determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The differences detection rate concentration each mediator analyzed statistically. Results Arthrocentesis for 77% (51/66) joints. mean LTB4 significantly (P < .05) higher (47%) than (16%). BK .0005) (425 pg/mL) (144 pg/mL). There also a statistical correlation PGE2 .01). Conclusions Increased synovial may indicate that is less likely to be treatment.
