摘要: Objective: The objective of this study was to describe the use biomedical services and traditional healing options among a reservation-based sample American Indians from 2 culturally distinct tribes Methods: Participants were 2595 Indian adolescents adults ages 15 57 randomly selected represent living on or near their rural reservations. First, we examined prevalence correlates for both physical health psychiatric problems. Second, developed logistic regression models predicting independent combined Results: varied by tribe. service ranged 40.9% 59.1% problems 6.4% 6.8% 8.4% 22.9% 3.2% 7.8% Although types common (10.4-22.6% users), many used only (3.5-40.0%). Correlates included age, educational level, ethnic identity. For example, correlated with higher scores scale measuring identification culture Conclusions: Both are important sources care in communities, independently combination one another.
