摘要: BACKGROUND When liver transplant candidates and recipients suffer from pulmonary complications of immobility, the results can be life-threatening. Continuous lateral rotation therapy has been reported to decrease immobility. OBJECTIVES To determine whether continuous decreases duration mechanical ventilation, intensive care unit length stay, incidence or resolution atelectasis, onset time lower respiratory tract infection pneumonia. METHODS Sixty-nine subjects admitted a at university teaching hospital were randomly assigned stationary bed. All mechanically ventilated for 24 hours had Glasgow Coma Scale score 11 less upon admission study. Subjects followed until out bed, unable rotate 3 consecutive days, transferred unit. Data chest roentgenogram collected on daily during Sputum culture obtained if available as part normal patient care. RESULTS Incidence was significantly occurrence longer in group than bed group. CONCLUSIONS Although did not affect it effective decreasing of, increasing to, transplantation population.
