摘要: The simplest animal societies are subsocial, basic family units in which parents provide care to immature offspring. At the other extreme of social complexity is eusociality, with multiple adult generations, alloparental care, and a reproductive division labor. This article discusses evolution particularly eusociality from subsociality. Kin selection theory provides an evolutionary mechanism, several factors explain ultimate selective benefits that why evolves.
