摘要: Why are some civic associations more effective than others? The authors introduce a multidimensional framework for analyzing the effectiveness of in terms public recognition, member engagement, and leader development. Using original surveys local Sierra Club organizations leaders, assess prevailing explanations organization movement studies alongside model highlighting leadership internal organizational practices. Although available resources favorable contexts matter, core findings show that with committed activists, build capacity, carry out strong programmatic activity, whose leaders work independently, generate greater across outcomes.
