摘要: Discontinuous deformation analysis (DDA) is a discrete element method that was developed for computing large in fractured rock masses. In this paper, we present an alternative derivation of the basic theory DDA planar (two-dimensional) problems, and address accuracy sliding blocks using sensitivity analyses. Results analyses with different parameters show residual relative errors displacement frictional block are controlled by perturbation initial time steps simulation. addition, expose systematic error induced penalty formulation. Overall, solution decreases decreasing friction angle increasing contact and, counterintuitively, step size. All long runout behavior system trends toward analytic solution, independent perturbation. The resulting precision simulation more than sufficient all problems engineering interest.
