摘要: Muscarinic cholinergic receptors modulate the activity and plasticity of visual cortex. are divided into five subtypes that not homogeneously distributed throughout cortical layers cells types. This distribution results in complex action muscarinic integration stimuli. Selective activation different can either strengthen or weaken connectivity (e.g., thalamocortical vs. corticocortical), i.e., it influence processing certain stimuli over others. Moreover, differentially some functional properties neurons during experience-dependent cognitive processes they contribute to fine-tuning processing.
