摘要: Abstract : The chemical reduction of methemoglobin (metHb) with dithionite and other reducing agents has proven unsatisfactory due to undesirable byproducts. We have now developed a method reduce on preparative scale, in which metHb is reduced using photoactivated flavin mononucleotide (FMN). performed the absence oxygen, since oxygen more rapidly than leads formation H2O2. DL-methionine was routinely used as electron donor, although variety compounds could act this capacity. Thus, 1% solution containing 20 Mm micro mol FMN by 95% 30 min 300-watt light bulb. reaction rate depended methionine concentration well intensity. independent pH between 6 8.
